Simple Smokey Eye Look using BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette

When it comes to Smokey Eye Make up, there are no limits. The look can be recreated using any shade as long as it suits right. The look emphasizes on one main color applied on the lid and blended upwards to create a gradient effect. The following look was created using only two shades from the BH Cosmetics 120 palette. 

Smokey Eye How To: 

• Apply matte black eye shadow on the entire lid with a flat eye shadow brush. I used MUA E1 and the eye shadow marked as"LID" below. 
• Blend the black eye shadow in gentle feathering strokes using a blending brush. I used Luscious' Blending Brush for this purpose. Take your time at this step, neatly blend blend and blend to perfection! 
• Lastly apply a light highlighting shade in the inner corner of the eyes and on top of the brow bone. Shade used marked as "HIGHLIGHT" below.

Make up look using MUA The Artiste Collection Palette

MUA's Artiste Collection palette allows you to create variety of looks whether it's for day or night time, formal or casual. This is my second look using this palette, previously I did a soft and romantic Valentine's Day look that you can see here. For this look, I incorporated bolder shades in the palette for a dramatic purple smokey eye paired with matte browns to enhance the eye shape.

You can use my look as an inspiration to create your own with MUA's Artiste palette. I started out by priming my eyes. Then with MUA E2 eye brush, I applied Mocha (pearlescent highlight shade) to my brow bone for a frosty highlight effect. On the lid I applied Grape with MUA E1 eye brush. The brush is wide and applies eye shadow effortlessly. Lastly, I used Cookie (matte brown shade) into the crease of my eye, blending it upwards to create a soft smokey effect. You can use MUA E2 brush for this, just remember to be gentle and blend in wind shield wiper motions. 

With eye shadows in place, I finished off with Luscious Catwalk waterproof eye liner in Black to line my eyes and added MUA's Vixen eye lashes to intensify the look. They instantly add a pop of glam to the entire make up look. MUA Every Lash Mascara was used to merge natural and false lashes for a fool proof look. 

On the cheeks I am wearing Primrose from the Artiste palette, it is a dusty pink highly suitable to pair with dramatic eye looks. Bronzed is used to contour the sides of my nose and in the hollows of the cheek. I also applied a bit of Catrice Light reflecting concealer at the highest point of my cheek to create the effect of dewy looking skin. 

The lips are kept natural; I applied MUA lipstick in shade 7 with MUA Intense Kisses lip gloss in Lips Are Sealed layered on top.
